Plotist v2 (Adams) is out now!4 min read
That’s right! After a whole year gathering your feedback and testing things out, we put together an all-new, all-improved version of Plotist. It was a really exciting year and we loved hearing from you; your emails and support have been invaluable.
If you go into your account right now, you’ll see that we have improved the overall look and feel of Plotist. We parted away from the bright red interface that was somewhere between a mobile app and a desktop app.
But that’s only the surface. We have improved the profile pages, added a dashboard so you can have all your stories and recent changes always at hand, and when working with the elements of your story (characters, locations, objects and events) you will always have quick access to the rest of your notes. And best of all, the buggy timeline is now gone, replaced by a smooth, fully interactive timeline.
For those of you asking for better mobile support, you will be happy to hear that the app is now fully responsive and can work on mobiles, tablets and desktops. Including the timeline. We still recommend using the timeline on a big screen, it can be hard to move things around on a cell phone, but the option is there and works perfectly.
This is just the first of a series of updates, the one setting the ground for the ones to come. The name, Adams, is in honor of one of our favorite writers: Douglas Adams. In the next months we’ll be adding more and more features so you can create your stories more easily. Next month, we are going to add the option to find other people, stories and timelines.
About the pricing, Plotist is still in beta. While we think that Plotist works great right now and we could take it out of beta, we want to give you the opportunity to try it out and completely explore it without worrying about monthly costs. The only thing we ask from you is to give us feedback, positive and negative, as you’ve been doing so far. We want Plotist to be the best tool for you and your writing, so if we have missed something, let us know!
And for those of you who haven’t heard yet, last month we released our forums! In the forums you will be able to talk to fellow writers, people going through the same experiences as you are, as well as meeting the team and getting to know us better. We love the community that is gathering around Plotist, that’s what gives meaning to everything we do. Without you, Plotist would be nothing.
Thank you all for being so awesome!
